Training

We offer safeguarding training at various levels, appropriate for all staff

Training is delivered in person or can be online and is tailored to a schools or providers individual needs. Our training provides staff with the knowledge and skills required for their individual role within the setting.

Universal level Training (All Staff) - 3 hours

 Universal level training supports staff to recognise and respond to possible abuse and neglect and help to keep children safe. 

The aim of the training is to increase staff safeguarding and child protection knowledge and empower staff with the appropriate actions to take, in response to possible abuse and neglect.

The safeguarding training includes a range of interactive activities and covers the following areas:

  • The school or setting role in safeguarding and protecting children
  • Recognising the indicators of abuse and neglect
  • Responding to concerns and disclosures
  • Focus on specific areas of safeguarding including FGM, exploitation, child on child abuse, online harm and domestic abuse 
  • Contextual safeguarding 
  • Recognising the increased vulnerability factors associated with some children
  • Overview of any recent changes to guidance including DfE keeping children safe in education
  • Low level concerns and allegations
  • Understanding the need for best practice in recording and record keeping
  • Learning from  Safeguarding Practice reviews  

Advanced Safeguarding Training (For Pastoral Staff) - 5.5 hours

 

Designated Safeguarding Lead Training (For DSL Team Staff) - 6.5 hours

 

Safeguarding Training for Governors - 3 hours

 

Safer Recruitment Training - 7 hours 

This training can be booked as one training session for example for an INSET day, however can be delivered in two parts for example for twilight training if required.

 We are also able to provide bespoke Safeguarding training for Governors, Directors and Trustees which focuses on their responsibilities.
